Service Agreement
Effective September 1, 2026
1. Scope of services
This agreement applies to moving, packing, loading, unloading, storage coordination, junk removal, and related services requested from HoHaul Moving Co. The written estimate or booking confirmation identifies the services included in your move.
2. Estimates and payment
Estimates are based on the information provided by the customer. Final charges may change if the inventory, access conditions, travel time, requested services, or move duration differs from the original description. Payment terms and accepted methods will be shown in the confirmed move order.
3. Scheduling and access
Arrival windows are estimates affected by traffic, weather, building access, and earlier jobs. The customer is responsible for arranging parking, elevator reservations, building permissions, and safe access at each location.
4. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate addresses, inventory, and access details.
- Secure valuables, documents, medications, and prohibited items separately.
- Identify fragile, high-value, or unusually heavy items before move day.
- Ensure an authorized adult is present at pickup and delivery.
5. Cancellations and changes
Changes and cancellations should be submitted as early as possible. Fees may apply to late cancellations, rescheduling within 48 hours, unavailable access, or work that has already begun. Any applicable deposit terms will appear in the booking confirmation.
6. Claims and liability
Damage or loss should be reported promptly and documented with photos. Coverage, exclusions, claim deadlines, and valuation options are governed by the confirmed move order and applicable law. HoHaul is not responsible for items packed by the customer unless damage results directly from negligent handling.
7. Prohibited items
Crews cannot transport hazardous materials, explosives, illegal items, open food, live plants or animals where prohibited, or other items unsafe for transport. Ask your move coordinator before move day if you are unsure.
8. Governing terms
The confirmed move order, written estimate, and this agreement form the complete service terms. If they conflict, the confirmed move order controls. Applicable federal, Illinois, and local transportation rules remain in effect.
